05

06

Ongoing support

Where needed, we connect the tax task with the company’s ongoing bookkeeping and financial reporting in the UAE.

From documents to filing

The scope depends on the company’s status and the quality of its records. We first establish what has already been completed and which data is missing, then agree on the specific work required.

  1. Initial review. We collect the key company details and identify the relevant tax period.
  2. Document list. We prepare the data request for registration or return filing.
  3. Preparation. We review the accounting basis and assemble the information needed for the tax task.
  4. Approval. The final figures are presented to the responsible company representative before filing.
  5. Follow-up. We record the result and the next dates in the tax calendar.

What is usually required

The exact list depends on the case. At the outset, businesses generally need company registration details, information about owners and the authorised person, financial data for the period, and documents supporting material transactions.

  • trade licence and company registration documents;
  • details of owners and the authorised person;
  • accounting ledgers and financial statements;
  • contracts, invoices, and bank statements;
  • information on related parties and unusual transactions;
  • previous tax correspondence, where applicable.

Corporate Tax in the UAE

Does every UAE company need to register?

The obligation depends on the person’s status and the applicable rules. Before work starts, we review the legal form, registration, and tax period rather than drawing a conclusion from revenue alone.

Is a Free Zone company always exempt from tax?

No. Special conditions exist for Free Zone companies, but registration in a Free Zone does not create an automatic exemption. The company’s status, types of income, and compliance with the relevant conditions must be reviewed.

When is the return filed?

The deadline is determined by the end of the company’s tax period. It should be established from the registration details and tracked in the tax calendar together with the payment deadline.

Can a return be prepared before the accounts are in order?

The tax calculation is based on financial data. If the records contain gaps or inconsistencies, supporting documents and material transactions should be reconciled first.
